Research interests

Reef fish ecology,  role of parrotfishes in the resilience of Pacific reefs, fisheries of herbivorous fish in Micronesia.

Career

2010-2013 Postdoctoral fellow in the University of Queensland (Australia).
2008-2010 Project scientist in “Effects of herbivore exploitation in Micronesia” funded by the US National Fish and Wildlife Foundation (NFWF).
2001-2004 Coral reef monitoring researcher within the System for Coral Reef Monitoring in Colombia – INVEMAR, Santa Marta, Colombia.

2001 Bsc Marine Biology, Universidad Jorge Tadeo Lozano de Bogota (Colombia).
